Even though Brahmastra Part One-box Shiva’s office performance dipped throughout its first week, it still surpassed the 300 crore mark after the week. In India, the movie has made 200 crores gross (or 173 crores net) in all languages over the same period. However, trade specialists say the daily dip is too big for a movie of this scale, which could harm its future chances.
The seventh day of box office receipts for the fantasy drama Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was September 9, 2022. Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, had a strong opening weekend at the box office, sparking enthusiasm for the movie. Even after day 7, the film in India has continued to gain momentum and set a record for the biggest Hindi film’s opening weekend worldwide in 2022. Karan Johar used his social media account to post a video announcing Brahmastra’s first-week box office results. “Love and light are ruling the global box office at #1,” he wrote. The movie is performing well commercially in India. Brahmastra made nine crore net in India on Thursday across all languages, according to trade trackers Sacnilk and BoxOfficeIndia.com, bringing its first week’s nett earnings to 173 crores. Its gross earnings throughout that time were just over 200 crores. But over the past three days, the movie’s performance has been declining by 15% to 20% per day, which is pretty concerning for a film of this size.

Though Brahmastra is expected to gross $300 crore in India, that does not automatically qualify the movie as a hit. The movie needs to perform well in its second week to have a chance of being deemed an impact, given its reported budget of 410 crores. The only thing going in the movie’s favour is that no major Indian releases – Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan will compete with it. On September 30, I showed up at the theatre.
Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is the first instalment of a trilogy and the beginning of a brand-new cinematic universe. Along with extended cameos from Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan, the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Mo.

“So the reviews you are referring to, that is their opinion,” she continued. All we can do is hope that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. It appears to be moving positively; otherwise, its box office performance would not have been as strong.
Nevertheless, many fans have expressed dissatisfaction with Alia’s performance in Brahmastra, feeling that her character lacked sufficient vigour. In a chat with Indian Express, director Ayan Mukerji discussed the subject and said, “In some ways, her great acting talents have almost become something that some people are viewing as it is coming in the way of really enjoying her.”
Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir Kapoor appeared in their debut film, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The couple began dating while the movie was being made, and they were married five years earlier this year. They are now prepared to start a family.
